Yes. However, our first task is to successfully integrate MCD into provider practices and EHRs. Clinicians must trust and adopt MCD before extending it to patients. Once integrated into practice, MCD can expand outward, potentially supported by liaison staff who triage questions—similar to how medical scribes were first used in the ER.

In our surveys, patients strongly preferred having access to results through an interface like MCD compared to a standard portal. Patients said it helped them feel more informed and confident in their care.

MCD is built with safety in mind. Critical thresholds are set by physicians for each unique patient, not by generic population ranges. This physician-led design reduces risk of missed events and ensures the system supports, rather than replaces, clinical judgment.
